I was on a hike today and thought of you Mick, I found this I think is blue bottle beetle?
very shiny blue, my photos are terrible though. I think I also found the plant you mentioned before. the red berries were a much darker red.
nice beetle , but i see you have found another shrub with red berries :)

most berries are gone by now , the birds love to eat those
