Is it time to sell or hold?

Everyone is talking about the great present of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, their bull run that has taken most of these decentralized digital currencies to the highest levels. BTC, ETH, ADA, Hive, LEO practically all the ones we know have distanced themselves from the average values generating significant income if compared to our respective fiat currencies, especially the US dollar.

I recently read a publication where the author expressed that the profits generated by his efforts in Hive / Leofinance have represented the equivalent of 6X the average salary in his country, emphasizing the degree of devaluation of his local currency with respect to cryptocurrencies. For this reason, he raised the question of selling or continuing to maintain his investment in LEO/Hive, thinking about the opportunity to take that fiat money and live quietly for a couple of years or wait a little and develop his own venture.

Among the responses, the vast majority suggested him not to sell his Hive and LEO, as these decentralized virtual currencies will continue to rise in value exponentially. Some assure that our Hive will exceed the price of 1$ and even the most optimistic believe that it will easily reach 3$, without giving realistic explanations simply based on their desires and how they see the cryptocurrency market, so evidently the LEO token will also experience a significant rise in its price.

To me, all the suggestions and recommendations directed to the author of that article seemed extremely valid. It is true, the cryptocurrency market at the moment resembles the San Fermin festival in Spain with its bulls running like crazy through the streets of Pamplona. It may seem illogical to sell our cryptocurrencies at the moment as the market shows no sign of wanting to stop the bulls' onslaught, but should I delay my personal projects in the hope that my investment will continue to rise?

If there is one lesson I have learned in life, it is that opportunities do not usually repeat themselves and if they do, it would be after a long time. On the other hand our goals and dreams should always be a priority, so anything that helps to meet these personal objectives or make them more achievable should not hesitate to make use of that, yes, without regrets.

We all have hopes and dreams, I believe that a good part of those of us who trust in the decentralized virtual currency model, including Decentralized Finance (DeFi), joined this world because we believe in it and because we understand that it will help us to improve our lives. Personal dreams, however modest or gigantic they may be, are part of what we want to be and if cryptocurrencies help us to fulfill them, who are we to advise delaying that life-changing goal for others?

We always say that cryptocurrencies are a mechanism that will free us from the perverse fiat system, I think if it is the time to prove that is possible it would be now. Selling can be a great option if it serves to fulfill goals, that is, to make you a free and independent person.

I think it depends on personal circumstance. For people in countries where Leo earns 6x more than a salary? Hell yeah cash out and have a more comfortable life.

As for me, because of living costs in my country, my Leo savings so far would pay for two meals in a restaurant. Doesn't really make sense to cash out now.

Of course, everyone's circumstances are different. The interesting thing about this is to consider cryptocurrencies as something more than an investment instrument that goes up or down in price and that they are there to solve problems if we do it intelligently. Thanks for your comment, best regards.

This is a great point, money is ultimately a tool. It begs the question: are we living to make money or making money to live? There is a trade off of course in terms of unrealized profit but there is a trade off in the other direction f unrealized life...

Particularly I find it very sad to live to earn money, but unfortunately we do not live on air and money is essential for almost everything we do, that is why we must use it wisely and always for our benefit.

Hello

Do you keep it or sell it ... or do you keep a portion of your rewards?

Very good question, in my case I have a goal in my head: to raise my own venture and in these last months I have seen it very feasible to do it thanks to the cryptocurrency bull market. Anyway I know how to generate these resources again in case I have to start again from scratch. Running out of cryptos does not scare me, I am more afraid of delaying even more the realization of my dream. Greetings, thanks for your comment and support.
