It's a public decentralized blockchain platform that's designed to manage decentralized operations or Dapps. The Solana foundation is created by San Francisco . It's an open- source blockchain network with agreement using POS ( Evidence of Stake) and POH ( Evidence of history). The platform was originally released in April 2019.
Solana has an internal cryptocurrency/ commemorative called SOL commemorative.
According to the white paper of Solana, Blockchain armature is grounded on POH ( Evidence of History), and it's a way to corroborate the order and passage of time between events. In Solana, POH is used along with another agreement algorithm like POW, POS, or TowerBFT, adding security and scalability.
Solana is the fastest blockchain network with a processing speed of deals per second. It has 200 distributed bumps over the network, the fastest sale processing speed known for a blockchain network. Also, the inventors are still working on it, and it's still under development. They claim that after some events in growth, the Blockchain will be suitable to reach TPS ( Deals per second) which is far lesser than any other network like Cardano or Ethereum, which can only reuse up to 15 to 45 Deals per second.

POH ( Evidence of History) of Solana
It's a blockchain protocol that cryptographically creates a dependable ordering of deals or events recorded to the tally. By creating sale events, it solves the problem of time agreements. POH acts as a evidence for vindicating the order and passage of time between sale events, and it encodes the unsure passage of time into the tally.
On the current blockchain interpretation, POH works with another algorithm protocol called Tower BFT protocol, a Successor interpretation of PBFT. Using TowerBFT alongside POH give Solana an upper hand as the TowerBFT leverages POH as a timepiece and suppress communication outflow and quiescence. As PoH uses a cryptographically secure function with which the affair can not be prognosticated from the input. The function uses a single core to run and takes former affair as the input for the coming processing. In this manner, it records the current affair and the time of system calls.
Another system can corroborate this affair by checking each member on separate cores parallelly. And also, the data can be timestamped with the sequence. This recording of data guarantees that data creation took place eventually before the generation of the coming hash in the sequence.
Well, thats all specialized explanations for the working behind PoH. In simple terms, we can say that the PoH creates or generates the timestamps for operations in the Blockchain, which doesn't depend on any original system timepiece. Other networks don't contain any literal record or data for former events, but PoH does it by creating these records on its own.
