I've been here for 2 months and I'm trying to use this place as actively as possible. There are some situations I've noticed and I'd like to share them:
I feel like no one is reading the posts I share (a few people are reading)
The posts I share are either upvoted or passed over without being read
There are 10 big rewarding accounts on the platform and a lot of users who have connected their votes to the automatic voting that follows their votes. (trail)
If the post doesn't get the attention of one of these big 10 users, organically, being read and supported by users, it's not satisfying because I feel like there are very few people who do that.
These big accounts are auto-voting for certain users, I feel like newcomers don't stand a chance
These are my thoughts and observations. I just wrote to share and get ideas. Thank you
It isn't easy to get readership. Took me a while and there were far less people at that time, and the quality was lower.
Try using dedicated communities and spending time engaging with people in those too.
A lot of small voters follow trails - but the larger accounts tend not to.
The most compelling thing, is to have engaging conversations about our posts, right? This is something everyone should consider more. I know that it looks easy for me to say, because I get a lot of comments, but it has taken awhile to get to this point and it isn't only from posting about what I am the most interested in. It is an interesting place - lots to learn and discover.
It is hard. But, there is a chance. For instance, you have been here two months and have a rep of 61, which is dictated through staked votes. Back in the day, there are accounts that are years old that haven't made it that far yet :)
