Sadly they can get a lot of bot action. We will take it but it tends not to translate into much bigger numbers overall.
So whats the takeaway here?
Do you know what ultimately caused the short term spike and why it couldn't be maintained?
I don't know, but no doubt the splinterlands team try to link marketing spend to new sign-ups, and lets hope they found a channel that is moderately successful.
