My name is The Nudge. I am a traveler and videographer from the US, making content exploring the intersection of liberty, crypto and travel!
Background
I traveled long term backpacking in years past, and have been to 13 countries and more than 80 cities. Much of it has been "off the beaten path", and using decentralized travel networks such as Couchsurfing to connect with locals for cultural exchange.
For the last year and half, I have been living in New Hampshire, among libertarians in The Free State. I have had firsthand exposure to crypto through this, and understand the power of decentralized technology and permission-less money to connect the world — free from oppressive rulers and censorship. I love Hive communities and I already use crypto for purchases in my daily life.
For 2021, my plan is to return abroad, and have meaningful interactions with local people, cultures, music, and food. This time, I want do so while living off cryptocurrency. I want to learn languages, produce films, make digital art (NFTs), and record podcasts with interesting people throughout this journey.
What I can offer the community
I feel that the niche for traveling (not just living) off of crypto is still quite narrow. I will attend crypto meetups, onboard new users and businesses, and utilize crowdfunding through various platforms, to prove positive that it is possible and awesome to travel on crypto.
Relevant to this community's interests, I would be reviewing dapps, sharing observations as they apply to Defi from the road, and generally just offering a realistic view of the challenges and triumphs of undergoing a monumental project like this — particularly in 2021 while the world is still opening back up.
This goes beyond speculation and investing, to actually testing the technology as real money that you can spend. It's not cheap or easy, but in my mind it's what's needed to advance society beyond fiat money. I hope to encourage developers to build more dapps to fill this niche, particularly a crypto Patreon (or the framework to host a community instance myself) which I feel content creators still desperately need.
I hope that I can inspire you to follow my steps in the future! When your "diamond hands" finally relax, maybe you'll join me for a nice margarita on the beach!

Sounds like an ideal future.. traveling and living off of crypto. Won’t be easy, but the future is rarely easy to become adjusted to.
