Three Days Surviving on Cryptocurrency in Medellin, Colombia 🇨🇴

in LeoFinance3 years ago

On this episode of The Nudge, I'm taking a challenge. I'll visit several restaurants, book a hotel, go supermarket shopping, and even get a haircut, all while spending cryptocurrency! I also get a chance to sit down with one of the primary on-boarders for crypto merchants in Colombia and Latin America, and ride my bike around for some surprising sights around the city!

The Nudge is all about traveling for cultural immersion, meeting liberty-minded folks, and living on cryptocurrency.

Services I mentioned in this episode:

BitRefill - Purchase gift cards from popular retailers to live on cryptocurrency. We both get $5 when you spend your first $50.

Travala - Book hotels, flights, and activities using a wide variety of cryptocurrency or credit.
We each get $25 with your first $200 spent.

Uphold - An exchange that allows you to buy many popular cryptocurrencies, and also spend them like credit with the Uphold Card. Get $10 in Bitcoin when you sign up, verify your account, deposit with a credit card or bank account, and purchase at least $250 in your favorite cryptocurrencies. You can even send it to your own (non-custodial) wallet, or give it as a gift to a friend.

Brave - A privacy-respecting browser, based on Chrome, available on both desktop and mobile. Enjoy features that safeguard against tracking, watch non-invasive ads, and earn the Basic Attention Token to tip your favorite creators.

interesting video. would be nice to see it on 3speak because odysee sometimes gives me flashbacks to my dial up times when i was trying to watch videos :D

I don't know any other creators on 3Speak, but I agree that transcoding and buffering are glaring issues with Odysee.

i was even ready to drop the image quality but they don't have the option for it (or maybe i missed it). sometimes it works ok, but sometimes my heart is skipping beats every time it stops :)

I record in 1080 and I upload in 1080. The only thing I do special for Odysee is lower the bitrate to 5MB/s
