The picture you see above is an image of the emergency couch in the hospital I work with. I have used this couch to provide comfort (though not maximum comfort) to the patients I work on before wheeling them to the normal bed, then to the ward for further care. I have also seen a lot of people that could not make it from this couch to the emergency units bed or to the ward for further care. Some do make it to the emergency Unit's bed, but that's their final bustop.
