Yeah, smart contracts are way more important than I thought, lol.
Imagine having a marketplace that enables influencers to put their account as collateral. They form a proposal and the market decides whether it's worth it or not.
Big social media accounts can generate nice yields if being liquidated and the market might use it as leverage. Seems possible if you ask me.
On top of that, $HBD would have another sink.
It could have massive potential. Tokenization would also allow others to share in the profits a influencer was able to generate.
This is the thinking we need to have. We need the use cases for HBD to explode.

Or build a platform that enables influencers to make an offer for their services, whether it be marketing, art, or anything else. We can trade services with ease, especially here, on Hive where everything's transparent, fast, and cheap to run. The protocol takes a small tax from both sides to make a yield and avoid spammers.
I mean the opportunities are endless.
I'm just writing this down in case I forget, it wouldn't be the first time. lol
The ability to tokenize, even with NFTs, opens the door to what you are mentioning. Suddenly barter isnt really that since the exchange would be in token form.
For example, a token might entitle me (as the holder) to three hours marketing service (or whatever). That is really where we are embarking upon new territory.
And all those tokens could be paired with HBD.
I find it happens more as I get older.

Could be big, agreed.
But it'll take us time to build something like this from scratch.
If done correctly we'll witness a different era of Hive
There is a lot of infrastructure and buildout required. We are going to see a great many use cases. Right now, we are still playing catch up.
The first goal is to keep pushing HBD forward. Getting more out there along with improving liquidity. Hopefully that will stimulate use cases.

Not sure if you read blitzscaling but the book perfectly demonstrates how big tech companies utilize VC capital to expand beyond what's thought is possible.
Definitely something worth reading.
No I never read it but I have an uncle in the tech VC game. Not playing with billions but he does float millions at a time.
What I like is that we are now able to replace the VCs. That is the challenge for us. It is one of the reasons why I am pushing so hard to get HBD to the proper place. If that is truly pristine collateral, it opens the door to a lot of funding possibilities.
