Hello everyone,
My name is Omar Ali, I’m 27 years old, and I’m from Egypt specifically from the city of Alexandria, in an area called Agamy. I work as a radiology technician specializing in bone and dental imaging at a local medical center. I’m passionate about constantly learning and practicing my profession, and I also work at a private radiology center in my city.
Most people might only know Egypt from its tourism like the pyramids and ancient monuments but nowadays, I think more people recognize us through football stars like Mohamed Salah from Liverpool and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City. We’re seeing real progress here in sports, not just in football but also in handball, where we have a strong national team.
I come from a family of four. My father is a chemistry teacher at a high school, and my mother works in a local administrative office. I have a younger brother who is in elementary school and a younger sister who studies science at university. I really enjoy being around my family so we motivate each other to work hard and keep learning.
Recently, I started an English course, since Arabic is our native language, and I’m getting much better at it. In addition to that, I’ve always had an interest in working online. Years ago, I started earning through a site called Neobux. It was my first taste of online income, but I didn’t continue with it since the earnings eventually became too low.
Here in Egypt, one US dollar is worth around 50 Egyptian pounds, so even a few dollars earned online makes a big difference. That’s what pushed me to search for better opportunities until I discovered the world of cryptocurrency. My cousin introduced me to it and he has a Binance account and makes decent profit by trading USDT through P2P and selling it for local currency.
I found this whole Web3 world fascinating. While looking for ways to earn crypto beyond airdrops, I came across platforms like Blurt, Steem, and Hive. After comparing them, I found that Hive was the strongest not necessarily in terms of token price, but because of its vibrant community and strong momentum.
I don’t think there are many Egyptians on Hive yet. The language barrier is a real challenge for us, as not many are fluent in English. But I truly hope Hive grows not just in Egypt, but across the entire Middle East.
