If your summary efficiency is higher (best receiving gear, best TX power, best gain and selectivity from antennas ) - you get less limitations to push your personal capabilities to the very edge. To the TOP. #1.
Ham Radio contesting is a struggle against other ham rivals, PLUS against the MOTHER NATURE.
