The mysteries of money

in LeoFinance3 years ago

No one knows the reason, but money is something that involves great mysteries in life. Because after all to a greater or lesser extent, we all want and/or need to have money, due it's a must for just about anything we can imagine, need, or want.

The truly mysterious about it

The truly mysterious thing about money (and what is most fascinating to me, from my point of view) is the fact that the more we directly want it, the harder it seems to get; but instead, when we let go of the desire for money and focus on the things that really matter deep down, it seems to become abundant and seems to seek us out.

I say this because I have seen it through the case of many people to whom exactly this phenomenon has happened. And the truth is that I am not one to believe in paranormal things, but it seems to me that money, being desired and wanted and needed by almost everyone in the world, involves deeper forces than we can understand at first sight.

Cases in HIVE

It's very easy to talk about this at a general level, but let's talk about specific cases here at HIVE. As we know, here, on this platform, we can write content for which we can be rewarded through its native cryptocurrencies (HBD and HIVE).

The reward that we obtain in this sense is the result of the interest and interaction that other users show with our content, and the weight of their accounts (HIVE POWER size) and the percentage of interaction (vote percentage) that they decide to put in each post.

Because every action that is carried out in HIVE is, deep down, a transaction, and the votes are even more so, because through it the curators also obtain a portion of the rewards of each post they vote for.

So by receiving a vote from someone, that someone is not only supporting us, but they are telling us that they like our content and that they believe that it has some value, and that it can bring some benefit to them as well. So with each vote we receive in HIVE and with each interaction we receive, however small, we should feel proud and motivated, because that means that what we are doing has some meaning, some value, some use to someone else; and that, my friends, is very important.

The fact is that I have strayed from the topic; but going back to it, the issue of the mystery of money I have visualized here in HIVE also when I see users who started out with no money or power in their account and today they are successful users.

The matter may be mysterious and un-mysterious at the same time, because I think the reason they have been successful is because these successful users threw themselves into the task of writing posts like there was no tomorrow, perseveringly; every day and without any immediate economic interest, which has made them persevere in their activities and interactions on HIVE and this led them to some point of success on the platform.

But the point here is that they didn't focus on what they could earn from each of their posts initially, to the point that it seemed like a small matter. In fact, if we do a deep dive and look at the first 300 posts of many of those people who are getting high rewards today on HIVE, we'll see that the vast majority of them got very little reward, and in many cases, most of them, their posts got no reward at all.

But did that discourage its from moving forward? Obviously not, and that is probably why they were ultimately successful.

The mystery is to continue against all odds

From what we have seen, I believe that the mystery that will allow us to be successful in everything we do (including our posts on HIVE), is to focus on creating, on producing, on doing, and completely forget about the economics, the rewards and the money. If we do so, at some point, don't ask me how or when, we will succeed too.

I know perfectly well that for people who have no source of income to achieve such a feat of not worrying about money with so many personal needs is something extremely difficult, but in the end it is seen as rewarding; at least from what we can notice that is happening with many users who act like this here at HIVE.

I hope to have such a level of perseverance and vision to achieve that kind of success at HIVE one day. And in the meantime, I know that I shouldn't focus on rewards or money, but on creating content as if it were for myself; how I like to read it; that is, I focus on creating content that I like, entertains me, interests me and is useful to me.

What I have to improve in this sense, and I admit it, is the frequency of publication of my posts. But believe me, I'm working on it. And so, perhaps one day, money will stop being such a mysterious subject for me.
