Hi guys and welcome to another lovely Sunday, valentine is here and the air is already filled with love, combined with the fact our portfolio had several changes in value recently, this makes February the perfect month.

Several weeks back steemit underwent yet another change which was the addition of TRX reward pool to users and users are now able to earn not just the native token of steem (steem and sbd) but TRX as well making the reward more fun and rewarding.

This new change might be a little complex with individuals not familiar with the working principles of a private key and public address.

Configuration of your TRX wallet might seem a little complicated as a private key is generated during account creation, for those familiar with the working principles of an active key on steem, the private key functions the same way it allows you full access to the said account and users can easily send, receive, any Tron based token.

In other to gain access to such an account, one needs a supported wallet that easily allows access to Tron and while the list of such wallets goes a long way, my personal recommendation is TokenPocket.

TokenPocket is a noncustodial wallet that allows users to easily access, send, and store multiple types of cryptocurrency which include but not limited to ETH, BTC, TRON EOS, and many others.

To get started, download TokenPocket from playstore or appstore depending on your device preference

Launch TokenPocket from your mobile menu and click on I already own an account

Multiple wallet options will be shown to you, but for today's writeup we are going to focus on Tron

Select Tron among the list provided to you and click on import account

From the new menu, select import with private key

Paste the private key you earlier copied from your steem wallet page and ensure you properly have a backup and stored in a secure place

The private key is just as important as your steem active key and without this, you can not gain access to your Tron portfolio, also no admin or developer will ever need your key.

Complete the information shown to you on the account import page and click on confirm, your account should be up and running and you having access to all funds that comes in.

I sent my TRX to Bittrex. Sending TRX was simply a matter of generating an address at Bittrex and sending the TRX to that address.

Unfortunately, Bittrex has a minimum trade size for TRX. I think you have to have five dollars worth of the stuff to convert it to cash.

Justin Sun seems to want people to create accounts on Poloniex. I wouldn't go that route as it seems to involve giving personal financial information to a site controlled by Justin Sun.

Do you know of any swap services that would let us swap our TRX for HIVE (or LEO)?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

No, but you can swap trx to usdt on binance and then usdt to hive on binance as well, to trade you do not need kyc for low amount
