This is interesting. It reminds me of a similar setup like "Folding@home" where a regular computer can contribute their processing power to try and find cure for diseases and sickness. It is similar to mining, and they are given some crypto tokens for their work. They increased their contribution during the pandemic, and I can see it working for AI as well if they provide good rewards.
