Reasons why some people see Web3 users as money-mongers

With the limited experience I've had thus far, particularly with reference to being on Web3 and supporting projects here, I genuinely believe I can offer some opinions regarding the platform.

There has been a lot of concern as regards Web 3 recently, especially when it comes to the level of attitude put into action by its users. Honestly, the recent Zealy campaign has indeed brought out plenty of things, especially when it comes to looking into the community's mindset.

There is one similar opinion gotten recently from different space events on X during the ongoing hive campaign, which is that Web3 users are money-mongers.

During the @breads space some days ago, I got so many understandings that back it up that most web 3 project holders are more concerned about setting up an initiative to earn and disappear, which I honestly believe makes it hard for other web 3 projects to be adopted by outsiders.

Honestly, there are definitely plenty of good projects on Web 3, but the level of ideologies given to adopters keeps on affecting those projects. Many today see hive blockchain as a perfect means of getting it right financially, which has limited their understanding in terms of helping the community achieve its future goals.

Web 3 users need to see beyond taking the platform as a means of getting it right financially. One of the excellent opinions I got recently from a user was that, contest at times is not the perfect means of keeping users loyal to the community, most users will still come for the reward and leave after earning what they come for.

Irrespective of the level of awareness created on Web 2, especially by organizing events on Space, there are still plenty of things to do, especially when it comes to making users understand that Web 3 projects aren't all about getting it right financially.

There is definitely a lot of work to be done, mostly by web 3 project builders, especially when it comes to onboarding people from different parts of the world to stick to their projects. It's not always about making it financially like it used to be, but making them see the level of utility attached to such projects is vital.

Just like @breads said on one of his space event on X, it's more important to have 1000 true fans supporting a project than to have millions of individuals who only care about making profits and jumping from one project to another for money sake.

Little did most Web 3 users think about it utility and the long-term goal of a project. Most of these individuals are horribly hungry financially, and they act true to any means of financial freedom that comes their way. Unless this mindset changes, it will be difficult for web 3 project builders to match up with web 2, and this will keep on affecting individuals who have better plans for web 3 projects.

For me, I honestly believe that Web 3 users are not to blame for most of the occurrences happening or the level of reaction to activities. Holders or project builders got it wrong by giving out the mentality of them earning regardless of their status, unlike Twitter, where you have to get to a certain level before getting some certain privilege. I think Web 3 needs to restragies in terms of reshaping the user's mindset and making them see more potential rather than considering making it financially alone.

Conclusion

For me, I honestly think holders or project builders have a lot to do. Restructuring users' understanding will definitely help Web 3 grow faster and better than other social platforms, that also will help it adoption.

What do you think about Web 3 users? Do you agree that they are also money-mongers?

yea, that's a bit harsh reality.. contest can't keep people loyal, they show up and pretend to be most loyal person in the community but once the Compaign or contest is over, there's no sign of their existence.

That's Greed and some nature of human... can't do much but with their help if we can onboard more people into web3 than it's still a win.

But yea, need to work on mindset "there's more than money in web 3" when they'll realize that.. and start to engage with other in a way. Than It will make a lot easier to grow whole ecosystem. Nicely Put!
