Markets are bleeding again and it's time to stop looking at them... When the price is going down, it's time to change the gear and turn on the "accumulation mode"... I know that it's not an easy thing to do, but the moment when I implement that in my "crypto-life" things have changed for better...

Today, I was checking some old screenshots that I have used in my previous post and I have bumped up on the image of my first BTC order...
Yeah, I have bought my first Bitcoin back in April 2013... Unfortunately, I didn't have it for a long time... After a few months, BTC had some drop, and panic sold it... Of course, the price went up again, and I regretted my move... After some time, I have made probably a couple of times more the same mistake and finally learned my lesson... I hope... For someone, it maybe takes just 1 mistake, for me, I needed 4-5, maybe 6, or more times...
Some people do DCA (dollar cost average), others never sell... I try to create limits and stick to them... If the price of an asset goes UNDER a certain value, I accumulate... If it goes OVER, I sell part of it...
I have mentioned before that if the price of HIVE goes down, it will be easier to reach my goal as I will be able to get more HIVE from my other income sources... That's great, but on the other side, I wouldn't like to see a low price of HIVE either as there is no sense to accumulate an asset that loses value... Anyways, I don't mind if the price fluctuates as long as it goes in both directions...
As you can see from the title of the post, and this thumbnail image, I have reached 31K HIVE Power which is still a way to go from my yearly goal... It's far away from my monthly goal, too! But, it's a nice round number that is worth celebrating... These small "wins" keep me going!
There is not too much to say regarding my LEO Power goal... I'm adding my curation rewards to my stake and keeping my delegation rewards for Polycubs... I really hope that we will see it very soon alive that I put my liquid LEO to work... The worst thing that you can do is to keep your money still... It should work FOR YOU, and not vice-versa!
Huh... If I had nothing to say regarding my LEO Power goal, then I have nothing to say about my WORKERBEE goal either... In my opinion, the price is a bit too high at the moment and I will wait before I start putting some higher buy orders... When the price of BEE tokens was around 1 HIVE, it had the sense to pay more than 2HIVE per WORKERBEE, but I'm not sure that it's worth doing it with these prices... Anyways, I'm on "a break" from WB shopping for some time until we have more sell offers...
I have slowed down a bit with my BEE POWER accumulation as I have reached my monthly goal... I have added 10 BEE tokens to my stake and sold the rest for HIVE on the markets... The point of having more goals is exactly that, if I have more than needed of one asset, I can (and will) exchange it for another asset that I need more...
GAMING GOALS
At the beginning of February, I have raised up my yearly RISING STAR goal for almost 500 cards, and I have reached my monthly goal! I have collected more than 4K cards which means that I need 2K more until the end of the year! This week I have added 95 cards! I have blended both instruments from Valentine's special mission and I will try to collect 10 Juliet cards in the next period to blend that one too!
Regarding my SPS token goal and Splinterlands in general, I have noticed that I can't keep pace with my SPS rewards per day... Every next day, I get fewer and fewer tokens, so I suppose that very soon I will not be able to keep doing my 200 SPS tokens stake per day... I have made a nice stash while I could do it, so we will see how it will go in the future...
I have expected something like this to happen, so I was prepared in some way... We will see if my preparation was good... :)

Staking SPS is a good opportunity now that everyone is selling their bonus payouts. You have the right idea there. A few well placed buy orders should do the trick.

I am also conflicted about Hive because lower prices means we earn more but higher prices makes you feel better as you earn more fiat.

I also follow the same, Only issue is with me I am bad at tracking , so I never have actual figures like "What I bought" and "What I sold" to calculate "net" gain. But grossly seeing my account, I know "net" is positive.

I remember years back when I had Eth and it was still at low price I just had to sell it off to clear some debt and painfully it has now rise beyond what I can imagine. I hope to see hive do the same also soon
It looks that we all have similar stories of our "beginnings" :) I was trying to figure out WHY I sold that 1 BTC, and I got to the conclusion that I did because I didn't have enough information about it... I didn't know what is blockchain, how it works, etc... It was hard to find more information back then, but that's not an excuse... I was too lazy to search and research!
I hope that we will see something similar with HIVE... I will be happy with 2-3x of a current value, we don't have to hit 100X 😃
