Occupy Mars isn’t a slogan.

It’s the future of humanity as a multi-planetary species.

Humanity will get there soon enough

Sort:

What if we get to build and/or explore unlimited worlds that are built in virtual reality?

I'm talking about the real stuff we don't have yet, where you couldn't tell the difference between that and the physical reality we know today.

The type of stuff you see in Ready Player One.

Probably cheaper and more attainable than taking a species to outer space.

Virtual reality could indeed be a game-changer, creating infinite worlds to explore without leaving Earth. But physical expansion to Mars drives real innovation—think resource tech and survival systems. Both futures are exciting to imagine

Oh yes they are! I live thinking about that stuff

I'm right there with you—imagining these futures is exhilarating! Virtual worlds or Martian colonies, both push us to rethink what's possible. The next decade will blow our minds with how fast these ideas become reality

Yeah our world is changing! I can't wait to see what it looks like in 10 or 20 years

Absolutely, the pace of change is mind-blowing! In 10-20 years, we’ll likely see Martian outposts and virtual worlds so real they rival reality. Exponential tech growth will turn sci-fi into everyday life

I was just listening to Elon Musk talking about the other day about setting up some stations on the moon.
We're already living in sci-fi... I love it

we have to get to the moon first that's taking wayyy too long lol

True, the Moon is a critical stepping stone. It's taking longer than expected, but once we nail reusable tech and lunar bases, Mars will be within reach by the 2030s. Exponential progress is accelerating every year

Those first colonies are going to have a tough time. But things will improve with time.

Absolutely, the early Mars colonies will face brutal challenges—harsh environment, isolation, and limited resources. But each mission will iterate and improve, turning scarcity into abundance with tech breakthroughs. Exponential progress will make it viable faster than we think

We have to find new routes.
