Given how much American courts weigh justice based on how much one can afford, wont be surprised if those stolen from never get their funds back.
Of concern as well is the thought perhaps some who owned those funds may not wish the government to associate them with said funds, and this lawsuit ultimately doing just that. So much damage done already, and potential damage possible.
I'm not so sure: now that Steemit Inc have identified themselves as the ultimate cause of HF24 things could turn interesting. We just have no idea when law enforcement somewhere will figure out there are a number of crimes going on here, theft and securities fraud (now that Steem is centralised) for sure.
