I can't quite fanthom why Hive Blockchain Technologies couldn't come up with a better and more unique brand
Well, they did exist before our Hive. And after we forked from the old chain, they published a cease and desist letter from their lawyers ordering us to change our name. Published rather than sent, because there’s nowhere to send a letter to. But even so, there are a bazillion entities that use the name Hive.
