I wonder how old those numbers are. None of the fast food places I see having signs out are offering less than $12 an hour. The McDonalds in our town had a $15 sign up for at least a year but now it’s “up to $17” but that might be for managers.

No idea. Seems low to me too, but the US salaries seem to be low for these kinds of jobs. It is interesting that around the world, people are leaving work at all levels though, considering collapse is coming.
