By December, PayPal will provide access to cryptocurrency services throughout the United States, and by the first half of 2021, they will become available to users from other countries. PayPal CEO Dan Shulman told about it, writes Fortune.
PayPal customers will be able to use the cryptocurrency to pay for goods and services at 28 million merchants using the company's platform, Schulman explained.
According to him, the interest in cryptocurrencies exceeded the company's expectations by 2-3 times.
He also revealed that PayPal will increase the weekly cryptocurrency purchase limit from $ 10,000 to $ 15,000.
Shulman noted that the company could start working with central bank digital currencies (CBDC). In his opinion, their launch is only a matter of time.
