No DJED is collateralized by SHEN the reserve coin and is totally separate from ADA. This provides security to ADA as it is not part of the stable coin. Investors are paid differently for staking SHEN as at times you will not be allowed to sell due to the smart contract as only when the collateral is sufficient will DJED be minted or burned.
