Thanks too.. I will be back on thread's soon, let me do my Homework out so that I can start my day fully.. its 10:34 am over here..
I wish you all the best of the day 💓💓💓!!!
It´s a very hard field and took me years to be ok with it. And sometimes I still don´t like my mixing and mastering. :D But it´s a process and you never stop learning.
Sure! What exactly are you interested in? What kind of music do you produce?
I just want to develop a better ear for knowing how to make the music sound objectively better, things like where to place mics, knowing when I might need a separate mic for a separate instrument, when a track could use more or less treble mid or bass.
How did you develop your ear so you know what’s missing? I have recorded live instruments so far but want to start with MIDI soon.
I see. Well this is a huge field. To learn what you just described might take hundreds of hours, even thousands. But I can try to assist you a little bit.
Real instruments are harder to mix than midi stuff for sure.
I developed my ear for years, making hearing training and stuff like that.
I will listen to your EP, since I don´t know the level you are on at the moment.
It´s always a good start point and important to know how to read the frequency spectrum. Get an analyzer for sure to always look at it and learn reading it. This will help you.
What software do you use?
I have ableton because it’s what friends used when I was in the studio with them so I already understood some of the very basics. Then I found a focusrite set that came with ableton
And it´s important to learn the basics about mastering.
I master and mix at the same time I produce the track, and just correct my mix and master at the end. That´s how I was able to get to a much better quality. Even though it´s not very usual to do it like this. But it helped me alot!
Do you know about Limiter, Compressors, MB Compressors, EQ, about LUFS? That are the basics and important to know.
I don´t know what your level of knowledge is, so it´s hard to give tips.
Yeah and Synthwave. There is a whole album with 20 Songs behind this link, but it doesn´t display here. You would need to klick to go to youtube directly so you can see all 20.
Mostly I set notes manually, sometimes I use a midi keyboard, sometimes I use samples. I am not the best keyboard player though, that´s why I mostly do it manually. :D
If you need any help, sure! I can record shorts for you too and explain stuff. :D
But the field is so huge and it took me years to learn all this, you need to ask specific questions, so I know what I need to show you. :)
You can also make this kind of tutorial on your private blog too.. and only your subscribers that are into stuff like this can view it too.. it's all about music, and you can earn cool on it when people knows that you do drop stuffs like this.
Yes I also thought about this. Not sure how many people are interested in seeing how I make my music, but could be interesting. even if you are not a music producer yourself.

Alright! I also have to do some mixing and mastering.

This album was made by me. Not a perfect mix yet, but it´s ok. If you want to you can listen to it, and ask specific questions.
chiptuney!!!! Really fun! I do you play that on a midi keyboard and then mess with it? Do you manually set the notes on midi? Which software?
