Having some deep thought thinking yesterday after holding some cash to purchase something and I realised that cash money is just a piece of paper worth nothing on its own. When people lose money, they are not sad for the physical cash that left, or when you watch someone burn money, you dont go feeling sad for the cash getting burnt, instead you start feeling sad for the value it represents that would have been exchanged for. You see someone burn $1,000 and you be like, “Do you know what I would have gotten with that amount?” Or you go “Do you know how much groceries I would have gotten with that amount?’. This is because money, the cash itself, the paper is worthless without the value it represents. When you are spending money, you are not losing money, remove your mindset from that perspective that when you spend money you are losing money, you are not losing money, instead you are exchanging money for something of value at that moment that the money represented. When you are doing so, at that moment, what you are exchanging the money for that moment has more value than the money that represents the value, hence, the reason you need to exchange it.

When you go to the grocery store or let me do you better, when you go to the computer store and spend $500 on a computer or a smart phone, you dont lose $500, instead you got a computer os mobile phone that is of value, which the $500 represented. Some people are stuck with the mentality that whenever they spend their money on something, they are losing money every time. You see some people lament and complain that they spent a lot of money on groceries or bought something with their money, feeling bad that they spent money, forgetting that for the fact that you keep spending money, exchanging money for something which value the money represents means that you have money in abundance to not lack the means to exchange it for a valuable thing. Although we all know that abundance is relative, what might be abundant to you might be seen as scarcity to another person with more abundance.
When we work and get paid, we get paid based on the value we offered, that is how we earn money, the money is representing the value we offered. The ability for money to circulate is so abundant, because everyday people are spending money, people are exchanging it for something of value. As adult paying bills, we tend to program our mindset on the scarcity aspect, forgetting the abundance side of constantly spending money even though we complain a lot about spending too much money. Which ends up to put us in a depressive state because we are not appreciating the little things we have.
