The Line Up
For this Dragon Battle I picked Dario as my Summoner. Dario is a rewards Dragon Summoner (that's right, this awesome Summoner was once attained for free in ranked play). The battle itself had a 16 MANA Cap limit and I was up against @monstercrusher who also decided to use the Dario Dragon Summoner. Our monsters of choice to lead in battle varied. For myself (@rentmoney) I decided to call upon the Earth Splinter for help (Every Dragon Summoner can call upon one other Splinter for help in battle). This allowed me to use Flesh Golem as my tank (A monster with regenerating health). The rest of my line up was as followed; Brownie, Screeching Vulture, Battering Ram and a monster I never go into battle without due to its 0 MANA cost: Furious Chicken. My opponent line up was as followed; Flesh Golem as the tank followed by Goblin Sorcerer, Screeching Vulture and the Furious Chicken. This left me with a field advantage of 5 monsters vs. my opponents 4 monsters.
The Results:
This battle did not last long. Most my monsters and the monsters on the opposing team had low health. The exception being our tanks in which we both used Flesh Golem. When we put low health against a Summoner like Dario who adds an attack to all melee monsters it doesn't take long for monsters to drop out of the battle-field in defeat. The battle itself lasted two rounds. Things were going good for me in Round 1 but once Round 2 hit things turned sour in a hurry. I don't want to give too many spoilers as watching the battle is much more fun than reading about it but lets just say the team you expect to win isn't always the team that does. Before this battle started the display screen showed both teams monsters of choice and I for sure thought I was going to win. Why didn't I? How was I defeated? You'll have to watch the battle to find out (Evil Grin).
Daria (A Closer Look)

Daria Dragonscale Lore
Daria is the only Gloridax summoner who is also a member of the elite Dragonsguard. Not only is she trained to summon the largest and fiercest Dragons, but she is herself proficient in all the arts of war. Daria is clever, quick, and beautiful. Though she carries the purest Fire Blood, she refuses to take a mate. Lore has been taken from the official Splinterlands site.
Daria Dragonscale USD Value

The Dragon Splinter is one of/ if not my favorite Splinters to play. As already mentioned when picking the Dragon Splinter for battle one gets to pick an additional Splinter and use its monsters in battle. This can lead to some interesting line ups. My personal favorite mix up is to use the Daria Dragonscale Summoner with the Death Splinter. Originally the Death Splinter Summoner gave a minus one attack to opponents melee monsters. The Daria Dragonscale Summoner does the complete opposite of that (which I always found to be a fun alternative to battle play). As the screenshot above shows a level 1 Daria Dragonscale Summoner will currently cost you about $10.00 USD. I can remember a time when these were still in print and they were selling for $0.25 cents. From $0.25 to $10.00 USD is a nice jump in USD value. The overall cryptocurrency market might be in a dip (which its currently fighting to get out of) but when viewing and putting everything Splinterlands in perspective; Splinterland assets are still miles above their original price points. In fact I can't think of a single Splinterlands asset that has fallen below its original price point. Land that original cost $10 USD is still selling for $140 USD+. The SPS token which original sold for less than $0.02 is still 50-100% above that sales point. SPT which was given out for free still has trade volume. Out of Print Booster Packs are well above their original sales point. What will the next bull run bring? Higher Highs for our assets USD value? An influx of new players? New interesting partnerships? Who knows (not me) but as always interesting times are ahead.
What Is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a blockchain game built on the Hive Network. The game itself utilizes NFT's for game play. These NFT's can be won in battle and/or purchased from the official Splinterlands marketplace or many other secondary markets. Game play rewards players with cryptocurrency and in game assets. Enrage can be quite unpredictable plus with low mana (and the resulting low health) order of attack can determine everything which Brownie should have taken care of but then BAM no Brownie 😳
Spot on, the Flesh Golem that attacked first won the battle for its team.
