I'm sure we've all had a lot of fun jiggling our Leo, Cub and PolyCub assets about over the last three weeks (has it been three weeks already?!?), but the question I'm now asking myself is which of these is the best to buy, when and at what price...?
Of course if you can answer the 'what price' question you've probably answered the 'when' and 'what's best to buy' questions, so I had a quick look at the relative inflation rates of each token to try and help me figure out what's best to accumulate, and over the next three months the picture looks like this:
The above are approximate, and i've held the prices level for the sake of comparison, of course they are each going to fluctuate so they'll be plenty of opportunity to trade back and forth, but the above exercise helped me come to the following (TLDR) conclusion - don't ignore CUB!
Of course PolyCub is VERY exciting, and it's worth stacking it in the XpolyCub kingdom (although I admit I've been tempted into the PCUB-ETH farm recently), but I can't help but think once all halcyon days of high-yields have died down that a good portion of PCub is going to flow back into good old reliable BSC Cub - and as I understand it THAT is the long term plan.
And love PCub though I do I can't see the marketcap of PCub exceeding that of Cub - NOT when the following hold:
- There's another airdrop coming to Cub holders, and then another and another! Basically Cub is at the centre of this DEFI universe...
- The mechanisms of Pcub are supposedly meant to be applied to Cub at some point in the future.
- Binance Smart Chain is just more established than Polygon!
- $0.24 the current price seems pretty cheap, the price hasn't been much lower than this in a while.
- We all know Cub and trust it and the returns are a bit easier to understand than with PCub.
- The yields ATM are getting competitive with Polycub already if we factor in the 50% penalty.
I wouldn't give up on LEO entirely either - the LEO price has been pretty stable over the last year, and with a decent paired return with BNB and now MATIC (and ONEUP on HE) of over 70%, that's also a decent hold - AND factor in that they'll probably be another POWER-PHASE of insane early yields on avax-leo hopefully in summer, that's another hold too.
So PolyCub is great and all but I'm personally trying to take a whole ecosystems approach and am still stacking LEO and Cub as well as PolyCub.
Personally I've been buying more Cub and LEO over the last few weeks, I was gonna hold off, but I just have this feeling that these are buy tokens atm at current prices!

CUB is the base of Leo Finance DeFi Stack! I keep on adding more CUBs into the kingdom, whenever I can. This makes much more sense to me since I cannot invest too much into PolyCUB so I am hitting the base layer ✌️

Well, currently I am buying more cub to earn more pcub which I can stake. cub seems to be at a discount now. I can say the same for leo in the long run.
I do agree with you on the sentiment towards BSC, but I think the polycub project on polygon still has a long way to go and we are yet to see its peak. So most of my liquidity will be held on the polycub defi platform until proven otherwise

I find PCUB a fascinating experiment, it just feels a bit long term.... so like have a little of it invested and watch it grow, keep more in Cub I think.

What are your thoughts on HIVE itself?
I've been using my HP delegation to leo.voter to essentially buy cheap LEO that then gets put to work in the LPs.
If LEO does ever rip faces off, the goal is to cycle back into HIVE.

I haven't been doing any buying. I just kind of sit there and hope tokens are working for me. I have about 6,000 Leo haven't thought about using it to earn. I'm not even powered up at the moment. I should really make a plan.

The price of leo is adding. But latest now is polycub. Staking Cub to get polycub is additional money.
