CZ is no longer the CEO of Binance
CZ, now former CEO of Binance, pleaded guilty to violating anti-money laundering requirements. From what I understand, Binance did not comply with all the requirements and ended up accepting money from dubious sources. Thus, an agreement was reached, allowing CZ to continue to hold majority shares in Binance Exchance, but he will not be able to hold an executive position in the company.
With CZ leaving, Richard Teng will take his place, the possible RT since they like to abbreviate their names lol. Richard was the former Global Head of regional markets, also having experience as CEO of other companies. CZ makes it clear that the new CEO is more than qualified for the mission, but says he will continue to be available as a consultant.
However, even if the new CEO has qualifications, CZ's figure was very large in the Cryto scene, to the point where many people say that his Tweets are capable of moving the market as in the case of FTX. This is very evident with the recent fall in cryptos that occurred shortly after CZ's departure, with several coins having corrections above 10% on the day. We now have to wait and see how Binance will continue without the firm presence of its CEO, this is the “fear” that the market is experiencing at the moment.
From CZ's message it seems that he will not be arrested or anything like that, because he says he will take a vacation after resting for so long and will finally be able to focus on DeFi and some other crypto projects now as a minor stakeholder corporate position. I hope that CZ continues to grow and develop new companies, but of course in the right direction.
Changes to Earn
Amidst the recent changes that have occurred at Binance, there is one that few have noticed, which is the changes to the Earn terms. For those who don't know, Earn from Binance is a form of staking that the Exchange offers, in which you leave your StableCoin or Token and earn a little APR on top, and from time to time there are some promotions that give a good value of APR. On Earn, users were able to place and withdraw funds at any time, however this has changed.
When I recently joined Binance, I saw the terms were changed and to a very worrying scenario. Now, the assets will be used as liquidity on Binance, including loans, that is, your money will be used in the same way as in banks. Thus, another problem arises, this one much worse. If there are a large number of withdrawal requests, there may be a shortage in balances and you may be left without your assets, depending on whether the person who borrowed the assets pays. As a result, the same problem as a bank run can happen on the exchange.
The problem is that the news, unlike what happens in the traditional economy, in crypto its impact is fast and greater. Therefore, the chance of having a run is much greater, which could lead to the insolvency of the largest exchange in the world. Even more so in its current situation, having to pay Billions of dollars and in the midst of a change of CEOs.

O CZ, agora ex-ceo da binance, declarou-se culpado por violar os requirementos contra lavagem de dinheiro. Pelo que eu entendi, a Binance não cumpriu com todos os requerimento e acabou aceito dinheiro de fontes duvidosas. Dessa forma, um acordo foi feito, permitindo que o CZ continue com a maioridade das shares da Binance Exchance, mas ele não poderá ter uma posição de executivo na empresa.
Com a saída de CZ, que vai assumir em seu lugar é Richard Teng, o possível RT já que eles gostam de abreviar os nomes rs. Richard era o antigo Head Global de mercados regionais, possuindo também experiência como CEO de outras empresas. CZ deixa claro que o novo CEO é mais do que qualificado para a missão, mas diz que ele continuará disponível como consultante.
Entretanto, mesmo que o novo CEO tenha qualificações, a figura de CZ era muito grande no cenário Cryto, chegando ao ponto de muito dizerem que seus Tweets são capazes de mover o mercado como no caso da FTX. Isso fica bem evidente com a recente queda das cryptos que ocorreu logo depois da saída de CZ, com diversas moedas com correções acima de 10% no dia. Nos resta agora aguardar e ver como a Binance vai seguir sem a presença firme do seu CEO, esse é o "medo" que o mercado está passando no momento.
Pela mensagem de CZ parece que ele não será preso nem dado do gênero, porque diz que irá tirar férias depois de tanto tempo ser descansar e vai poder finalmente focar em DeFi e em alguns outros projetos de crypto agora como um stakeholder de menor posição societária. Eu espero que o CZ continue crescendo e desenvolvendo novas empresas, mas claro pelo caminho correto.
Mudanças no Earn
Em meio as mudanças recentes que tem ocorrido na Binance, tem uma que poucos notaram, que foi as alterações nos termos do Earn. Para quem não sabe o Earn da Binance é uma forma de stake que a Exchange oferece, nele você deixa a sua StableCoin ou Token e ganha um pouco de APR em cima, sendo que de tempos em tempos existem algumas promoções que dão um bom valor de APR. No Earn, os usuários podiam colocar e retirar os fundos a qualquer momento, entretanto isso mudou.
Quando eu entrei recentemente na Binance, vi os termos foram alterados e para um cenário bem preocupante. Agora, os ativos será usados como liquidez na Binance, incluindo empréstimos, ou seja, o seu dinheiro vai estar sendo usado da mesma forma que acontecem nos bancos. Assim, outro problema surge, esse muito pior. Caso haja uma grande quantidade de pedidos de saque poderá haver uma escassez nos saldos e você pode ficar sem os seu ativos, dependendo da pessoa que pegou emprestados os ativos pagar. Com isso, o mesmo problema da corrida bancária pode acontecer na exchange.
O problema é que as notícias, diferente do que acontece na economia tradicional, em crypto o impacto delas é rápido e maior. Assim, a chance de ter uma corrida é muito maior, podendo levar a uma insolvência da maior exchange do mundo. Ainda mais na situação atual dela, tendo que pagar Bilhões de dólares e em meio a uma troca de CEOs.

I know permabulls are saying this is bullish. But sounds more like bullshit.
In the long term the impact is small, but if the exchage crashes with the new ceo we could see a bigger impact.
I widthdraw my money from the exchange.... just saying. There are so many other alternatives like Kucoin, ByBit, Crypto.com etc.
