Today I will be talking about how I use hive to supplement my income and how crypto and blogging works together.
Well at first, I actually did not really know how to make money online. I was just trying to get by with my part time job at an institute. Then a friend of mine suggested to start blogging on Hive and start investing some of my money on HIve, and that is when this journey started.
Initially, I did not know anything about Hive, how to blog or how this whole thing actually works. However, after diving deeper in the world of Hive and also with my friend's help, I realized how powerful this platform actually is. I thought if I stay consistent with this then this might actually become my side hustle or even a full time job if I play my cards right.
Engagement is Crucial
I have been using Hive for over a month now and I have realized that this is not just writing a post and publishing it. It is much more than that. When I started I was publishing random posts (whatever I pretty much liked). Some of them did okay and some of them did worse than I thought. By worse I mean they got completely ignored xD.
So after noticing all this, I tried to engage more, because on Hive the more you engage, the more you get recognized and the more your rewards benefits gets increased. By engaging I mean, commenting, voting, and supporting other users on Hive. Just like other social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter, engagement is key, otherwise you will be completely invisible.
Earning through Blogging
There are two main things that every user should keep in mind if they want to earn some money through blogging on Hive, First is Consistency and Second is Consistency. If you are not consistent and will not treat this seriously, then you will not succeed in it. You have to write daily and be consistent with it.
And it's not only about consistency though. Your content also matters. If you are consistent with your writing then that is good but sometimes you have to mix things up a bit and try different things. If you post about the same things for a whole year then it will not perform as you expected. I make sure that my posts are informative, helpful, or entertaining. Whatever I write about, be it about gaming, fitness or finance related, I make sure that people somehow benefit from it.
The whole earning thing on hive blogging works on upvotes. The more upvotes you get on your post, the more you earn.
Boosting Earnings through Crypto
Hive is not just about writing and earning rewards. You can also stake those rewards to earn even more rewards in the long run. Whenever you earn rewards for your posting, you earn those rewards in the form of Hive tokens. Now you can withdraw those hive tokens but you can also stake them. When you stake those hive tokens, it converts into Hive Power. The more Hive Power you have, the more your posts get recognized and the more rewards your posts get.
With this I can do 2 things, I can earn through my Blogging and then withdraw, OR I can combine it with crypto staking and stake it to earn more rewards in the future. Using these methods, I stake other tokens as well, like #Colony and #SPS tokens etc.
Conclusion
In Conclusion, this whole process has not been easy for me, but nothing is easy in life. Everything in life require dedication and consistency. You do not start earning instantly. If that would have been the case then everyone would be rich. With consistency and dedication, you can use Hive Blogging and Staking like a side income.
