Today I am going to be talking about how and why I use hive to earn some passive income.
I came to know about hive and this world from a friend. At first I did not really believe when he said that I can actually earn by writing and posting about different topics. But after spending some time researching about it, I thought I should at least give it a try. At that time I was also looking for different ways to build s steady income and not be completely dependent on normal jobs. Once I started to understand about hive, I decided to dive in.
I started to post about topics that I was really passionate about, like gaming and fitness. Then I came across this game called Splinterlands, which is a play to earn game. I am not going to talk about it because it is a whole different topic and I am sure most of you already know about it because it is big on hive gaming and is a part of Arcade Colony. I also checked other games on Arcade Colony, one of it was Stakehouse Den which is also another play to earn game.
Sooner or later I saw that my posts were getting rewards. I was really happy when I first saw that someone upvoted my post. This was also big motivation for me and I stayed consistent with it, so I posted daily. On hive and earning from it, the main key is staying consistent. My payouts were really small but I still stayed consistent.
Staking Gives More Rewards !
One of the most important steps i took was reinvesting on hive. When you get upvoted and get rewards on your post, you get them in the form of hive tokens. You can then stake those hive tokens into hive power. By doing this I was not just earning more rewards, I was also increasing my reputation on hive which is also very important. The more hive power I staked, the more I could vote on posts. I did not only post my own content, I also increased my earning by voting on other people's posts. Slowly I started to expand my staking to the gaming side as well. I mentioned before that I also started playing Splinterlands and Stakehouse Den. Well, you can also stake tokens in that game as well. Those games have their own tokens. Splinterlands has SPS and Stakehouse Den has Colony. The more you stake, the more rewards you get.
Conclusion
Earning from Hive has been my one of the most rewarding experiences in life. You get this warm and satisfying feeling that your posts are actually being read and not only that, people also upvote them. If you are looking for a way to earn passively like I do, you have to try Hive. But I will tell you this though, that this is not like become instant rich. You need to give it time daily and consistently.
