Hello Everyone! Hope y'all are doing amazing. I'm Adil and this is actually my very first post in this community.
Today I'll be talking about why do I keep posting on Hive even when rewards are low.
Everytime I open hive and start writing about something, I remind myself why I joined Hive in the first place. Like everyone else, I was attracted of the idea that you can earn rewards by posting on hive. You can use all your useless postings on other social media platforms like Snapchat and Facebook, and post them in Hive to actually get rewards from it. But, after sometime I realized that this is not only about earning rewards from your posts. I realized that you interact with people through Hive, learn and gain knowledge about lots of different things and it also increases your typing speed (for those who write their posts on their computers) :)
When I first joined, I'll be honest my main goal was to get upvotes and see my wallet increase. I used to check my notifications again and again, to see if anyone has upvoted or left a comment on my post. And yeah, it felt good when someone did. But after some time, I noticed that my writing was also improving, I was interacting and getting out of my comfort zone by sharing my life and different aspects of my life with the people around the world, I started to express myself better, I started to get creative and have different and better ideas day by day and lastly, my consistency was also improving.
Consistency
The main thing that hive taught me was consistency. Before hive I was very inconsistent. Be it about going to the gym, studying or about anything. But after joining hive I realized that I was getting consistent day by day. Posting everyday or 4-5 times a week builds a habit. Yes, the early days are tough, you don't get big results but slowly you get better, not only your rewards get better, your consistency, time-management, mind clarity and brain power gets better as well.
Diverse Communities
Another great thing about hive is the diverse communities. There are lots of communities that each has their own niche. This makes you eligible to post about literally anything you want. For Example, there's community about Food where you can post about your different recipes and stuff, there's Leofinance where you can talk about business and financial aspects of life and there's communities about gaming as well where you can share your gaming side of your life. Anyone can post on hive, be it a gamer, gardener, fitness enthusiast or a student. You can find lots of other people who has the same niche as you and you can gain even more knowledge about it.
Building
Posting on hive also made me think about something else. You don't always have to just earning and withdrawing. Stacking also helps quite alot in building reputation and connections. It feels good to let your hive power grow because it shows your effort in the community.
One day I was scrolling through my old posts and realized how much I've changed. The way I used to write and shared my knowledge have changed in a better way over time.
Rewards = Motivation
Let's be honest, everybody likes rewards. Everybody likes that upvote notification on their mobile or computer screen. If we think about it, these rewards also play a vital role in building our motivation. Hive gives us motivation to stay active and keep sharing. It pushes you to be productive. It's because of these rewards that we wake up everyday and start writing, sharing and learning. If you've been feeling unmotivated lately, you should remember that every post matters, even if the earning is low, but the real reward is the growth, and that growth can be built by writing and sharing daily and consistently.
Conclusion
So, my final words are that when next time you open hive, you should think about the progress, not just about rewards. You should think about the reputation you've built. And, think about how much you have improved since your very first post.
Hope you guys liked this post. Do share your reviews in the comments section below, I would really appreciate it :)
