I was just thinking the other day (mostly in regards to criminal activity) how it's kind of hilarious that when it's someone "you" don't know or don't like, they should absolutely be extremely harshly punished (and often what's there isn't nearly enough) because reasons, but if it's someone "you" know it wasn't actually that bad and the punishment is way too harsh and the police should be spending their time chasing "real" criminals and the person "you" know should just be let off because whatever they did wasn't that bad.
But "you" will absolutely refuse under any circumstances to see the irony in that because that would mean that "you" might be a hypcrit which is bad and you're absolutely not under any circumstances a bad person, "you're" smart and sensible and just tell it like it is and can't help it if other people can't accept cold hard facts (that "you" also refuse to accept but won't admit because this is completely different and doesn't count) XD
