I am curious, but it's a long read.
From what I saw in the article, it looks like equities tokens are similar to investing in a stock. So you are betting on that team's future. Either way, I think it's just another way that people phrase the token versus coin argument.

Yes, I am actually lost when I read that. In my mind, they are synonymous.
