A True Life Polycub Story

png_20220323_172922_0000.png

I've been friends with @edicted for a while now. He is one friend that understands me. We discuss about alot of things. From "Chess", to "GO" to "Factorio" down to Crypto. Although, I suck at most games he has introduced to me, He doesn't really mind anyway.

He inspires me alot and I learn from him every day. When it comes to crypto. There is just so much to learn from him. I know some might argue that his predictions usually play out in the opposite way. But yeah, If he could get that right always, he might as well be a god.

The Genesis

For a while now, I've been dealing with some issues. trying to sort out my accommodation as been a pressing issue. Two months ago, I begged Bitcoin to go above 45k. Then i thought that it's upward movement would spike my Alt coins. Well, that didn't happen.

Bitcoin Disappoints, Hive Offers Opportunities

I figured out that if i could keep up with my earnings on hive, I'd be able to take care of my accommodation problems. All i needed to do was write, make videos, engage with friends and build. Just like I've always done. It turned out that it was difficult to do this things as the electricity distribution in my area became bad. My battery was always low. No light. It was so terrible that i couldn't make chess videos frequently and even when i did, it didn't feel good.

Sam Needs the Power of Light #PolyCub

I wanted to get a generator so bad. I already put out some money to buy it, but i kept on procrastinating as something always came up. Meanwhile, @edicted has always been there to listen to my daily routine. I talk alot, so yeah, he gets to read alot of my rants. According to him, Living in Nigeria is easy. Also, the cost of living in America is 10x compared to Nigeria. (Ratio by edicted).

Anyway, Polycub got launched. And as usual, we talked alot about it. We spent time analysing the possibilities and opportunities that it brings. I listen to him and learn. Sometimes i share my opinions too. And, he listens. Remember when i said i asked a friend to pick between A successful Polycub project or making alot of money from the project.. Well, it was him.

I know him to fully focus on the progress of these things. He takes his time to analyse, study before he acts. If only all the degens in this world could take a class from him.

Thank you @edicted for buying a Generator for me.

It's interesting to know he farmed close to $300 in 2.5 hours!!!

Even as the APY reduces, Polycub still provides a very high yield.

In Conclusion...

It so relaxing to know that i don't have to rely on the government for light. I can always put on my generator and connect to the world for as long as possible. I'm grateful to @edicted for this. Thank you!

This is amazing, thanks to @edicted
Also Sam, what's the ball for 😆

Wetin dem dey use ball do before? Na to play na

With generator
Why ni

Incredible. Generally speaking, the people who are going to benefit the most from DeFi yield are the ones living in 3rd world/developing countries, especially those with a weak currency against the dollar.

Take Egypt, for example. Living costs if denoted in $USD are incredibly cheap, you'd be able to live a comfortable life with just $350 per month. Most people, as a result, travel outside to work and wire back money. It's amazing to think that you can now amass that kind of capital through the internet, completely sidestepping the need to work outside your country.

Take care!

Hehe.. it's that point where you said you don't have to be relying on Govt that cracked me up..

Bro.. it runs on fuel.. 😅😅😅, Nigerian fuel na Govt get am.

I didn't want to depend on any of these. That's why I went for solar last year..

But it depends on you sa, you may have an easy way of getting the needed fuel.

More so.. for my recordings.. gen na noise e go just dey make.

But it was nice of you to have a way to get power and thanks to lord @edicted for his kind heartedness hehe.
His posts always gets me thinking.

And about cost of living being higher out there.. I believe it's true.

Congrats again @samostically .. and thanks for all you do too.

Thank you my guy. Omo e no easy. I appreciate your compliments. Have a nice day too!

Truly nice bet going for solar, I always thought that requires a higher budget, is that so?

Posted Using LeoFinance Beta

Well it is goo to consider the cost in the long run too.
I did this and I m really not regreting.

This is something I'm currently battling with myself. I recently moved into a new apartment, all good but light isn't as I would love it to be. A generator would be nice tho, but fuel prices ain't even cheap, adding that to my list of expenses doesn't look like something I'm really ready for.

I hope you get one for yourself too. Thanks for stopping by.

Nice one mate. Another key example of how relationships work here. It is not about posting alone but making real connections. I am so happy for you. Keep up the good work.
