I don't think that's part of the plan. It will remain layer 2. I forgot exactly the details of the future plan. I think it has something to do with connecting the token to other blockchains. I may be wrong.

Maybe it's possible for a Layer 2 Token on Hive to become a usable form of payment, like USDC (USD Coin) which is a second-layer token of the Ethereum blockchain. 🤓

@savvytester could you explain in a simple way what is a Second-layer token for me please? And an additional question, you say it's on Etherum Blockchain, whilst I know it from Go chain and Binance Smart Chain. Is this 3x the same USDC or somehow there's a difference? !PIZZA !CTP

In simple words, a second-layer token on a blockchain is any token that exists on top of the primary blockchain. 🤓 On the Hive Blockchain, #HiveEngine and #HoneyComb are examples of second-layer blockchains with their own tokens. 😏
