The Bitcoin Halving Came and Went

On Friday evening (atleast here in the U.S.) the bitcoin halving occurred. It was a quiet day with no volatility to be found.

Things just trucked along and they mining reward cut in half to 3.125 BTC.

My mining rewards!?!?

Boy, sometimes I wish I did mine bitcoin, atleast back in the early days. Now, cost is a big factor for miners but they are still in the green.

Bitcoin is dancing around 64-65K and the average cost for miners is around 53K as of stats for April 20th on https://en.macromicro.me/charts/29435/bitcoin-production-total-cost

I will say this - we often see the price of bitcoin dip below the average cost to mine from time to time, so I wonder if we see one more dip before the next leg up in this bull market. That is assuming 2024 will indeed be a bull market.
