Weekly WenSoon Show Recap - 7/19/22

It was an exciting week of developments for the leofinance universe and we delved into those on today's call.

The call started off talking about the vexPoly launch and what vexPoly does.

For all the deets give a listen to the replay, in the meantime below are just a glimpse at some of the info as I multitask as host and writing a recap...

vexPoly

vexPoly causes more buying and locking, which means less PolyCub in supply.

The buy back happens randomly throughout the month (autonomously) so that there isn't a set schedule that can be front run.

In just a few days we have already seen 96K xPoly locked up, which is roughly 47% of supply. The lock up is two years so that is a nice chunk of supply out of the rotation and some diamond hand love.

New Governance UI and New Votes

Wrap fee change: Those fees are used to buy Polycub by the PoL, which is what is used to provide the 20% vexPoly yield among other things like building the PoL even larger.

Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see the wrap vote, which ends July 22nd.

Cast Your Votes Again With the new UI your prior votes have been wiped so you need to go vote on the new page for the farms you want to get the yield.

Monthly DAO/PoL report

This month will be the first report for the revenue earned, size of PoL and buyback report for all things PolyCub.

I'm looking forward to seeing this info.

Leofinance Threads

Threads is coming along and may hit sooner than many expect.

Leo Threads will not be top level posts, which sort of solves the problem of HIVE hate on having to many post in a day.

User activity could see a surge when threads is live as not only to you remove the limitations but you also cater to the short form which is more volume than long-form.

Leofinance Community Pages

So many things have been release of late I almost forgot about Community pages.

There are already 16 communities and growing. However, to make communities a success, we the leofinance community need to participate in them. If you like any of the topics that exist get to posting.

Questions questions..

Some good questions came in the AMA chat, one of which is WEN loans and can vexPoly be used as collateral for those loans - the answer is yes.

With all the V2 and VexPoly updates, collateralization can get some love on the work front. It is in the sooniverse atleast.

Crypto Update

We chatted about the recent pump in ETH and bitcoin coming off the lows.

Who knows, maybe 20K was the bottom for BTC.

Threads are going to be interesting and I'm eager to start testing those out and being an active part of it all. Feels like the next progression.

Short form seems to be taking over a lot of entertainment value lately, tiktok, youtube shorts etc which hopefully someone on hive does something with soon! But also your short form posts like reddit, twitter etc. Threads is a nice progression

I aenjoyed the Podcast and its nice to see all the social media worling again. It's getting clearer and clearer that Polycub is going to be a monster development, but I am also looking forward to a revived Cub. I am still working out the consistency issues in defi income, as you so frequently mention. Unlike a rental property your defi earnings are not guranteed... BUt when they are flowing, they are sweet. So I hope the sweetness returns to Cub soon.
