Hello! Everyone knows, of course, that a full-scale war is going on in Ukraine, but this is no reason for us to give up and be sad. On the contrary, for all the years of Russian aggression, we find the strength to create something new.
New songs, movies, books and various collectables. If I'm new to stamp collecting, then it's different with coins. Before, I just liked to collect denominations of different years, and then came the period of the release of collection coins of Ukraine, which I like to "hunt for" and constantly checked the rest for interesting coins.

Today I want to present my collection of commemorative coins, which are dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and honour the courage, heroism, indomitability, freedom-loving, and self-sacrifice of the defenders of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Recently, coins from this series appeared in free circulation and were not only present in branches of the National Bank of Ukraine. Fortunately, among my friends, there are people who work with cash and I have collected almost the entire series of this treasure. The series dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine includes a total of 16 coins issued in the period 2016-2022. To date, out of 16 coins, I have 11 dedicated to this topic and I will talk about all of them. But I will probably divide the post into two parts if there is too much text.
They are made of a zinc-based alloy with a nickel coating, minting quality category - "uncirculated", weight - 12.4 g (each), diameter - 30.0 mm (each), coin group - fluted.
Ground troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
These coin dedicated to the foundation of the Ukrainian army. The ground forces are a solid monolith of mechanized and tank forces, missile forces and artillery, army aviation, air defense units and units, special forces, logistic support units, and territorial defence brigades.
The obverse of the coin depicts the following items:
- large inscription Ukraine on top;
- in the central part, the official emblem of the ground forces;
- small coat of arms of Ukraine on the left;
- on the right - the chevron of the ground forces;
- at the bottom, the year of issue and the denomination of the coin.
On the reverse of the coin, you can see the image of a soldier of the ground forces of Ukraine with a weapon in his hands, as well as military equipment in the background.
Armed Forces of Ukraine
This coin is dedicated to Ukrainian troops who protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
On the obverse side of the coin you can see:
- inscription Ukraine;
- emblem of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- small coat of arms of Ukraine;
- the year of issue of the coin, as well as its value.
On the reverse, you can view:
- plant ornament;
- military insignia;
- and in the center is the text ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE.
Assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Dedicated to a separate type of troops that belongs to the immediate response forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is characterized by high maneuverability and autonomy of actions, intended for rapid deployment with the purpose of conducting offensive and assault operations, covering individual directions, as well as covering the enemy by air, conducting combat operations in his rear.
On the obverse you can see:
- inscription Ukraine
- small state coat of arms and chevron of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- in the center is the emblem of the airborne assault troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces;
- the denomination of the coin, the year of minting and the inscription LANDING AND ASSAULT TROOPS OF THE ARMY.
On the reverse, on a mirror background, a symbolic image of a paratrooper in knightly armor is depicted, behind which are half-opened wings - the symbol of the patron of the army - Archangel Michael.
