How common is it that you intend to write a blog about one thing and end up writing about something completely different? It must happen to me once a week!
I know where youre going. And I love it when it happens to me. Solution: Take the idea and cut it from the post. Drop into a new draft and give it a title. Bang you have future content to write.
That happens to me mostly when researching topics and I like it because more often, the ideas just flow kind of naturally and I don't have to think (or research) as hard, hehe
I never run out of things to talk about hahaha

Yes, it happens, that's why most times I don't titled my blog post until I finish writing.
