This kicked off some thoughts on how many businesses are built on having something unique or different from others. Once that is lost, they need to adapt or go out of business. But if you look at simple businesses, like cutting hair, cutting grass, maintenance, these are perpetual businesses. They don't scale, mind you. But those businesses are always working. Lawncare businesses come and go. The grass still grows.
