You Do you invest in L2 tokens from Hive? After the recent events with the BRO token, I'm once again worried that investing in second-tier tokens might be dangerous. I've seen projects rise and fall, either due to natural causes or simply because something crazy happened. Well, I spent practically all of 2024 investing in L2 tokens, focusing mainly on those that pay dividends, but over time, some close friends told me it was too risky to continue.
Then 2025 arrived, and I focused solely on increasing my HP, without paying much attention to second-tier tokens, and now another big one has fallen (well, at least its value). I don't know if the BRO project and its other participants will continue or not, but the question is: do you trust and still invest in L2 from Hive?
I'm torn about what to do. I've had a strong urge to try and sell the various tokens I own and invest everything in HBD or HP, but of course, this needs to be carefully considered; making decisions without thinking is a big mistake. But what if DAB, DBOND, DUO, or EDSI are next? That scares me a bit because I think the token needs to maintain its value. If I want to leave the project, it's natural to want to sell my tokens and thus recover some of what I invested.

Some people had many BRO tokens, even more than 1000, so the price was sky-high and everything was quite valuable, but what now? It all melted down. Something that was very expensive is now worth around 0.5 swap.hive. Okay, you support the project and believe it will grow and that everything is fine, but the question always remains: what if? What if it shuts down? So, I no longer have dividends (in my case), and even selling to try and recover the loss wouldn't be possible.
Therefore, all of this is a reflection on the subject. Is it worthwhile to sell everything from L2 and invest in the main layer? Or to sell some that aren't so useful and not be so dependent on them? Perhaps the best thing is to focus only on Hive and HBD, increasing our Hive Power and thus performing better in the first layer.

Depois do último acontecimento que tivemos com o token BRO, mais uma vez fico com aquele receio de que investir em tokens de segunda camada se torna algo perigoso. Já vi alguns projetos nascerem e perecerem, seja por causas naturais ou simplesmente porque algo muito louco aconteceu. Bem, eu passei o ano de 2024 inteiro praticamente investindo em tokens da L2, foquei principalmente naqueles em que pagam dividendos, mas, com o tempo, alguns amigos próximos me disseram ser muito arriscado continuar com isso.
Então o ano de 2025 chegou e, com isso, foquei unicamente em subir o meu HP, sem dar muita importância para os tokens da segunda cama e agora mais um dos grandes caiu (bem, pelo menos o seu valor). Não sei bem se o projeto BRO e seus outros participantes irão continuar mesmo ou não, mas a questão é: você confia e ainda investe na L2 da Hive?
Estou dividido entre o que fazer, me deu uma grande vontade de tentar vender os vários tokens que tenho e investir tudo em HBD ou HP, mas claro que isso tem que ser pensado com calma, tomar decisões sem pensar é um grande erro. Mas, e se o DAB, DBOND, DUO ou EDSI forem os próximos? Então isso me assusta um pouco porque acho que o token tem que manter o seu valor. Se eu quiser sair do projeto, é natural desejar vender meus tokens e, com isso, recuperar parte do que investi.

Algumas pessoas tinham muitos tokens BRO até mais de 1000, então o preço estava lá em cima e era tudo bem valioso, mas e agora? Derreteu tudo, algo que custava bem caro, agora está na faixa de 0.5 swap.hive. Ok, você apoia o projeto e acredita que ele vai crescer e que está tudo bem, mas fica sempre aquela pergunta: e se? E se ele fechar as portas? Então não tenho mais dividendos (no meu caso) e até mesmo para vender e tentar recuperar o prejuízo, também não irei conseguir.
Portanto, tudo isso é uma reflexão sobre o assunto. Será que compensa vender tudo da L2 e investir na camada principal? Ou então vender alguns que não têm tanta utilidade assim e não ficar tão dependente deles? Talvez o melhor seja somente focar em Hive e HBD, aumentando o nosso Hive Power e assim atuando melhor na primeira camada.

Many L2 tokens are not doing good except Leo for now. even Bro has done bad with their community so its really important to be careful and take the right decision
Well, I saw when Leo gave that pump, at that moment, as I was never very involved in the community, I preferred to sell and focus on HP. Selling Leo's tokens gave me 1,100 HP, so I think it was a good deal for me. I'm not that involved in communities, only in HiveBR, which is for Brazilians (my country where I was born and live), so I'm thinking of doing this with other tokens while they still have value.

I'm feeling the same way, I used to have such love for the L2 tokens but over the past few years they've gotten worse and all seem quite pointless, minus the handful of specific coins. I try sell of the small amounts of x coin I gain these days xD

I am always torn between whether to keep them or not. I have invested heavily in some, such as DBOND, DAB, ARMERO, EDS, and DUO, and I am afraid to invest more.
Yesterday I spoke with one of the leaders of DUO and it seems that he has good ideas and mechanisms in place in case the worst happens with L2 of the hive, so that has given me a little more confidence to invest in this token at least.

See the things simple if you want to diversive your portfolio and you want to earn other than Hive and hbd then second layer token is a good option. Yes but there is a always a risk but I think there is an strategy by which you don't have to worry that much and you don't need to invest anything just your HP. There are many projects where you can invest your high power and for that you will get access token so it is kind of risky because you don't have to invest directly but you have to delegate your HP so kind of safe investment for me.
If you are investing directly then you are asking your money see the value of any two can is considered by there people when bro token was so promising then people to get to sky high and now it's fallen. Show in my opinion if you are investing in any particular to can then you should be active in their community and try to follow all the latest news related to that particular token if you can do that then I think everything is going to be fine.
And if you want to go for the safer side then I think hbd the best because I don't think 15% is not good enough for you 😅.

You really have a good point here. If I don't want to invest hive/money directly, I can delegate my HP to gradually obtain tokens, which makes it much safer.
HBD is really good, but I want to diversify as you said. Yesterday, I talked to one of the leaders of the DUO project and I liked what he said. He has some ideas for protection in case something happens, and that made me feel calmer.
Now I want to take a closer look at the EDS and DBOND/DAB projects. I believe they are the best in terms of holding tokens and getting a return.

You know that phrase? "If it's not your key, then it's not your token"... There are many tokens that use the HIVE earned from selling them to pay dividends, and after a while they run out of funds because they've already spent everything... Or they can simply disappear...
That's exactly what I'm afraid of. It's complicated... I'm not sure what to do, but I think I'll think about it some more, reflect, and see what decision I'll make.
