Dash Community on Hive

My first post about the Dash Hive Integration focused on money. The multiple ways you can earn on Hive and how that contrasted with Dash, and how the Dash Community is a large content producer, but with limited ability to earn Dash for this content. This led to my focus in Part 1 being making money on Hive to convert to Dash.
In this post I will focus on Inleos’ efforts to make it super easy for Dash Content Producers to earn Dash on Hive, using a special InLeo User Interface which makes it look like the Dash user is on a Dash website.

Dash on Hive

During the AMA @anomadsoul provided us some OG alpha about cryptocurrency communities, and then explained Inleos’ approach to making Dash members comfortable posting on Hive.
In a nutshell @anomadsoul reminded us that cryptocurrency communities are very tribal as in interacting with and sticking to their tribes Dapps so it’s very hard to get Bitcoiners to post on Hive because Hive isn’t a Bitcoin community product. And no where on Hive are any of the pages labeled Bitcoin. And we shouldn’t expect the majority of the Dash community to be any less tribal then bitcoiners. So InLeo plans a special User Interface, accessible by connecting a dash wallet to InLeo.io which will be in Dash Colors, say Dash Community on the Interface and all rewards for posts, threads, and videos will be denominated in Dash, not Leo and not Hive.
Additionally, the backend of this special Dash User Interface will convert all Hive, HBD and Leo into Dash, and deposit it into their Dash wallet.
Basically, the Dash community member will have an experience like he/she is on a Dash Community Application.
This is all to be done, to make them feel at home…like they are on Dash. And in some ways this type of customization is similar to the specialized websites we have on Hive Engine, that all look completely different from Hive Blog and cater to a select crowd.
This is part of a shift in philosophy I think, as we have instant signups for new members to Hive, using their Facebook username and password or their Twitter name and password, which makes it easy to sign up, but it doesn’t come with free education about cryptocurrency and Hive. Somewhere along the way the focus has shifted towards crypto native populations because the retention rate is higher.
Plus this is a unique opportunity to provide an on-ramp onto Hive for one of the largest and oldest cryptocurrencies in existence Dash. This could be a huge turning point in Hives’ history.
