to put things simply, it really all comes down to one's laziness... do you want to secure your crypto yourself? something that does require a bit of rigour in acquiring some working knowledge of the space- or do you want to pay exorbitant fees for some institution to take care of everything for you? i think with crypto adoption it really is not about crypto vs fiat with a clear dominance but for people to be able to choose...

You couldn't have said it better. Indeed people need to work towards being able to decide what they want but as for me , I wouldn't trust a third party with my cryptocurrency
