Hmm don't think I follow. EU laws are for EU memebers and have to be followed e.g. if you wanna act inside EU. Just like if you wanna do bisiness in US or China their laws apply inside their countries whether you like it or not?
Or do I missunderstand something?
EU tries to influence the surrounding world? Yes, like any other country. Again look at how China or US is meddling or trying to buy influence around the world.
As a EU citizen, you can critic EU for a lot of things, but I dont understand why any outsider should concern with what we do?

No the EU uses their laws to force companies that do business in the EU to change the entire way they do business.
the attitude "we don't do anything" has been an issue with Europe for Ages.
Again, leave Europe then if you dont wanna follow the laws? Its excatly the same if someone wanna do business in the US, they have to obey the american laws then.
I dont understand the issue? Go to whatever other country and do business if EU doesnt fit your belief system?
