You hit the nail here. It took me far too long to figure this out. Otherwise I would have made a lot more money investing in other places. At least I found amazing community members on HIVE and the technology is still among some of the best in cryptosphere. Not many chains can boast fast, feeless transactions.

I can fully agree with that. I didn't pay much attention. I was blinded by the communities I was interacting with and the technology (+ hype). Now I'm changing my investment strategy.
I want to see HIVE in better hands. I wish that to happen. Until that happens, I'm staying out of investing in HIVE.
