During my early time with Cryptocurrency, I experienced downtime transferring my coin to another exchange site, which resulted in losing $25 worth of my hard earned BTC simply inputting a wrong BTC address with a BCH address, which i thought its a BTC address back then. It was total abysmal for me earlier on, which i never want to experience anymore.
Now i have known how things work with crypto, and knowing the address codes i don't see myself entangling with such bizarre mistake anymore.
