SNL is quietly replacing live mistakes with dress rehearsal footage in their online videos and honestly its killing part of what makes the show special, last week Mikey Day's vape pen didnt work during the sorority sketch but the YouTube version shows smoke coming out cause they spliced in the dress rehearsal take, this is different from the old Debbie Downer situation where they were upfront about using rehearsal footage because it was funnier, now they are just erasing slip ups without telling anyone which removes all the spontaneous moments that made classic sketches like Massive Head Wound Harry so memorable, its like George Lucas editing Star Wars special editions all over again.
