Christopher Nolan almost directed Troy back in the day before Wolfgang Petersen got it back and that is kind of crazy to think about, Warner Bros originally hired Nolan for Troy but when the studio decided not to do Petersen superhero movie Batman vs Superman he wanted Troy back, so Warner Bros gave Nolan Batman Begins instead as a consolation prize which turned out to be one of the most influential comic book movies ever made, Troy made almost 500 million dollars and became the highest earning Greek epic ever but Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy is arguably way more important, now 20 years later Nolan is finally making his Greek epic The Odyssey with Matt Damon and a massive cast, drops July 17 2026.
