Warner Bros. moved Mortal Kombat 2 from its previously scheduled release date of May 15, 2026, to May 8, 2026 . The film will now share its opening weekend with Amazon MGM Studios' Sheep Detectives . This is actually the second date change for the movie, as it was originally scheduled for October 24, 2025, before being delayed to May 2026 back in August
