Prime Video's Mass Effect series is following the Fallout playbook by creating an original story set after the games instead of retelling Commander Shepards story which is honestly the smart move, BioWare confirmed on N7 Day that the writers room is going strong and they figured out how it fits in the canon and where it sits with the new game coming out, no cast announced yet but Doug Jung from Star Trek Beyond is showrunner, this approach worked great for Fallout so hopefully Mass Effect can pull it off too, at least they are not trying to redo something we already played through.
