IT Welcome to Derry episode 3 brought back the slingshot from Stephen Kings original novel and the 1990 miniseries but with a twist, young Francis Shaw gets saved by a Native American girl named Rose who shoots Pennywise with a slingshot decades before the Losers Club does the same thing, now adult General Shaw is using that same slingshot to help Dick Hallorann locate the entity underground for a secret government project, in the original story Beverly was the one who mastered the slingshot and shot silver dollars at Pennywise to hurt him, this Easter egg could just be a wink to fans or it might play a bigger role later in the series.
